Design in a truly changing world

  • REA Group 511 Church Street Richmond, VIC, 3121 Australia (map)

About this Event

Never before have designers had the opportunity to truly change the face of the world we live in. As designers, what's our role in the world? Are we simply designing great digital experiences that solve business problems or — as Design rises to the boardroom level — do we have the capacity to truly shift society?

Join Charbel for a short session and a Q&A that will open up our discussion about our role beyond creating digital products.

About the Speaker

Armed with empathy-driven design and an avid interest in the human elements shaping our future, Charbel is passionate about creating experiences that solve real problems for real people.

His goals in life are simple: educate and empower people to create positive ripples of change. Charbel created Academy Xi with this unified purpose at the centre of it all.
Academy Xi teaches groups and individuals in areas spanning design and technology, specialising in future-forward and newly emerging disciplines.

As co-founder, and Xi's Chief Experience Officer, Charbel seeks to build compelling, meaningful, lasting experiences. We take our students and teams to the centre of a deliberate, structured process; where we bridge the gap between doubt and knowingness.

About UX Gatherings

UX Gatherings is a monthly event for Melbourne's UX community. Each month, we meet each other face to face to learn in-person from speakers and connect with people in the industry.

Our events and community are free of charge and run by a small and mighty team who volunteer their time.

UX Gatherings was founded in 2015 by UX Researcher Rohan Irvine and Brand Designer Renée Carmody.
