UX Gatherings October 2015

  • Billy Blue College of Design 595 Little Collins Street Melbourne, VIC, 3000 Australia (map)

About this event

It's been drilled into us over and over: You are not the user.
You work hard to remove your own biases when trying to understand your users.

But what about the users you don't yet know exist?

Kayla Heffernan joins us to explore the assumptions we make and the diverse groups we create for as designers in this month's meetup.

Join us at Billy Blue College of Design as we learn how to tackle our assumptions and create richer experiences next Wednesday at UX Gatherings.

About the speaker

Kayla is a UX Designer at Seek who’s been practicing her craft for 4 years.
Prior to UX Design, Kayla worked at IBM as part of their Organizational Change and Training team.
Previously a Senior Tutor at the University of Melbourne, she holds a Master’s Degree in Information Systems, and is a PhD candidate for Interaction Design looking at digital insertables.

Thank you
